Bullet Crusher clearing barrels (weapon clearing stations, also called unloading or discharging devices) catch an accidental discharge where weapons are loaded, unloaded and checked: armouries, police stations, checkpoints, gunsmith workshops and range entrances. Four models cover calibres from .22 LR to .50 BMG. The BC-2 ARMY carries NATO stock number 1095-16-008-5453. All four are made in the EU by Dependable Solutions s.r.o. (Czech Republic) and delivered by BulletTrap Baltic from Lithuania. Part of our shooting range equipment range.
Which clearing barrel: the four models compared
All four share the same working principle and footprint, so the choice comes down to calibre, impact energy and inlet diameter.
| Model | Calibres | Impact resistance | Inlet | Size · weight | Shots before revision | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| BC-1 | .22 LR – .338 LM | 11,000 J | 68 mm | 21 × 32 × 29 cm · up to 11 kg | up to 50 | Police stations, armouries, gunsmiths, ranges |
| BC-2 ARMY | .22 LR – .50 BMG | 17,000 J | 68 mm | 21 × 32 × 30 cm · up to 13 kg | up to 70 | Military and law enforcement; NSN 1095-16-008-5453 |
| BC-1 Tactical | .22 LR – .338 LM | 11,000 J | 98 mm | 21 × 32 × 29 cm · up to 14 kg | not stated | Tactical units, weapons with lights and lasers |
| BC-1 Pistol | Pistol calibres | 2,000 J | 68 mm | 21 × 32 × 29 cm · up to 11 kg | up to 30 | Security services, pistol-only and outdoor posts |
Bodies are Hardox steel; the BC-1 and BC-1 Pistol have Komaxit powder coating, and the BC-1 Pistol is weatherproof for outdoor use. All models are maintenance-free and mount on a wall, a table or the ST 12 stand without building work. Step-by-step selection by calibre, accessories and location: which clearing station do you need.

Where clearing barrels are installed
Anywhere a weapon is routinely loaded, unloaded or checked, because that is where accidental discharges happen. The device does not change the procedure; it contains the consequence when the procedure goes wrong.
Armouries
Weapons are issued and returned in a confined room with people and stored ammunition. Usually the first location equipped.
Checkpoints
Weapons are cleared on entry and made ready on exit, often under time pressure and in poor light.
Police stations
Shift changes put several officers loading and unloading at once in a short window.
Gunsmith workshops
Function checks and trigger work mean pointing a weapon the technician believes is unloaded.
Range entrances
Control shots before and after a session stay inside a rated device, not in the car park.
Documents for procurement
Public tenders in the Baltics usually ask for manufacturer quality certification, product documentation and, for defence lots, a NATO stock number and NCAGE code.
- NATO stock number: 1095-16-008-5453 (BC-2 ARMY); selected models carry NSNs
- Manufacturer NCAGE code: 6916G (Dependable Solutions s.r.o., Czech Republic)
- Quality certification: manufacturer certified to ISO 9001:2015
- Ballistic resistance: NIJ Level IV confirmed for selected models
- Product documentation: in Czech and English
- Tender pack: prepared on request for Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and other EU countries; see certificates and procurement documents
Questions about clearing barrels
What is a clearing barrel?
A clearing barrel, or weapon clearing station, is a rated device the muzzle points into while a weapon is loaded, unloaded or checked. If a round is fired by accident, the device stops it instead of a wall, a ceiling or a person. The Bullet Crusher line also fragments the projectile and holds the debris inside.
Does any Bullet Crusher model have a NATO stock number?
Yes. The BC-2 ARMY carries NATO stock number 1095-16-008-5453 and covers calibres from .22 LR to .50 BMG at 17,000 J. The manufacturer, Dependable Solutions s.r.o., holds NATO NCAGE code 6916G and ISO 9001:2015 certification, and selected models carry NSNs, so the line can be listed in defence procurement.
How is a clearing station installed?
On a wall, on a table or on the ST 12 stand, with no structural work on the building. The units measure 21 × 32 × 29 cm and weigh 11 to 14 kg, so the only check is that the mounting surface carries that weight plus the impulse of a discharge. That makes them practical in rented premises and container posts.
Can a clearing barrel be used outdoors?
Yes, if it is rated for weather. The BC-1 Pistol is weatherproof and suitable for outdoor posts, with Komaxit powder coating over a Hardox steel body. For gate positions and outdoor ranges where rifles are cleared, tell us the exposure and we will confirm which model and protection fit the site.
How do I order, and where do you deliver?
Send the calibres handled at each position, the number of positions and whether weapons carry lights or lasers. We reply with a model recommendation, a quotation and the documents for your tender. Prices are on request; we deliver from Lithuania to Latvia, Estonia and across the EU, with no import duty.
Request a quote for clearing stations
