Choose the protection class
EN 1522 classifies windows, doors and shutters by the weapon they stop. Tell us the threat — we match the class to each opening.
| Class | Weapon / ammunition | Distance | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| FB1 | .22 LR rifle | 10 m | Low-risk service openings |
| FB2 | 9 mm Luger handgun | 5 m | Offices, reception counters |
| FB3 | .357 Magnum handgun | 5 m | Banks, cash centres |
| FB4 | .357 and .44 Magnum handgun | 5 m | Police stations, courts, embassies |
| FB5 | 5.56 × 45 rifle | 10 m | Armouries, checkpoints |
| FB6 | 5.56 × 45 and 7.62 × 51 rifle | 10 m | Military and critical infrastructure |
| FB7 | 7.62 × 51 armour-piercing | 10 m | Highest-threat sites |
Classes per EN 1522 (requirements) and EN 1523 (test method). The class for each opening is agreed in the specification and stated in the quote. Burglar resistance is classified separately under EN 1627 (RC1N–RC6).
Mounting options
